Who we are

At Tucker's Truckers, our story is rooted in a lifelong dedication to logistics and a passion for improving the lives of carriers. Tucker’s journey began in high school, working for a moving company as a helper, where he quickly advanced to a driver and crew chief. From there, he transitioned into independent contracting, driving trucks and installing furniture/appliances for companies like Lowe’s and Restoration Hardware. At the same time, he worked part-time as a warehouse worker for Vail Resorts, where he eventually accepted a full-time role as their logistics coordinator.

After his time with Vail Resorts, he entered the world of freight brokerage. Working as a broker, he mastered the strategies brokers used to predict the market and negotiate rates with companies and carriers. He always made it a priority to communicate all aspects of his shipments to both parties. Ensuring his customers were ready to pay drivers for accessorial charges on his shipments. However, he saw firsthand the unfortunate practices other brokers used that left drivers underpaid, often missing out on detention or premiums for specialized equipment like lift gates, pallet jacks, and tarps. Too often, these issues stemmed from inexperienced dispatchers rushing to book loads without confirming critical details.

Determined to make a change, he left the brokerage world and returned to his roots, teaming up with carriers as a dispatcher. With his combined experience as a driver and broker, his team brings a unique perspective to the table—ensuring carriers secure competitive rates, proper compensation for their time and equipment, and the support they need to thrive. At Tucker's Truckers, we’re committed to putting carriers first, because we know what it takes to succeed on the road and in the industry.
